Changes for city mental health centers draw protests.

For several weeks last month protesters set up camp across the street from the Woodlawn Adult Health Center, 6337 S. Woodlawn, because the city planned to close six of 12 mental health clinics, including this one. Dozens of demonstrators, including Diane Adams, pictured, were arrested. Patients say that the city should find money to keep all of the clinics open. The city said that the closings are about efficiency and not the $3 million the city will save with the closures.
